Livable Design Certified

Turnleaf at The Collective just officially received their Livable Design certification.  As described by Jeffrey DeMure + Associates Architects Planners, “Livable Design is not a single feature, but a series of elements that likely escape conscious notice and that work in concert to enhance the functionality, flow, beauty and even the safety of your home.”

Within Turnleaf at The Collective, Livable Design enables homeowners the ability to age in place, including:

  • No step entries
  • Widened hallways
  • No step showers
  • Lowered light switches and towel bars
  • All bathrooms equipped with backing to allow for future grab bars
  • Cabinets with lazy Susan or pull out drawers for ease of access
  • Wider Interior Doors- 3ft instead of the standard 2.8 ft
  • All bath vanity and toilet areas have a wheelchair turn around radius
  • 5×5 minimum clearance space at the interior side of the no step entry
  • All single story homes
